PublishingPageContent

We want to ensure all of Queensland’s teaching graduates are well equipped and prepared for their new role teaching in our contemporary schools. We created the Queensland Professional Experience Reporting Framework to guide the supervision and assessment of preservice teachers during their professional experience placements (sometimes referred to as prac).

The framework aims to:

  • provide a common language and understanding of the skills and knowledge that preservice teachers must demonstrate during their final professional experience placement
  • support the consistent and moderated assessment of professional teaching experience undertaken in Queensland schools
  • support supervising teachers and placement schools in their moderated assessment of preservice teachers against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (graduate level)
  • assist schooling sectors to recruit the best beginning teachers.

You’ll find this framework helpful if you are a supervising teacher or preservice teacher as it outlines the core professional standards expected of our graduate teachers.

The following tools and resources support the framework.
