Secondary teacher, Kathryn Ona talks about the rewards of becoming an Indigenous teacher and how her career as a teacher has allowed her to empower herself and her students.

In her time at Bundamba State High School, she had the opportunity to contribute to a program aimed at improving Indigenous education. She has fulfilled her goal to make a difference in Indigenous education.

"If we as Indigenous people can get into the classrooms, get into the schools to make a difference and tell these stories, it makes a wonderful journey in every child’s education."
