The department has identified priority schools for the career pathways based on their identified workforce needs for the 2027 school year. This helps direct permanent employment and mobility to the schools where teachers are most needed and supports equitable access to quality teaching for students across Queensland.
If you accept an appointment at a priority school through the Mobility or Permanency pathway, you may nominate your preferred school for your return placement, subject to the arrangements for your pathway.
Priority school status applies only for the purposes of these three pathways.
