The region compliments our
Metropolitan South Region, extending north, east and west of the Brisbane River, incorporating a range of inner-city schools, urban schools and rural schools across a range of suburbs and communities. These include Samford Valley, Kenmore and Moggill to the west, and Redcliffe and Sandgate along the coast of Moreton Bay.
Caboolture, North Lakes and Bribie Island in the region’s north are part of an area experiencing increasing population growth and are easily accessible from the
Sunshine Coast.

Strong demand for teachers
There are positive employment prospects for teachers across the Metropolitan North Region. Areas such as Caboolture, Morayfield, Deception Bay and North Lakes are experiencing significant population growth, which is increasing opportunities for teachers seeking permanent, temporary and casual teaching roles.
The increasing diversity of students and their additional learning needs, including students with disabilities, ensures that there is a continuing demand for teachers who can support these students in primary, secondary and special education settings across the region.
A number of unique and innovative school settings across the region, such as Aviation High, Positive Learning Centres and an Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre, also provide employment opportunities for teachers.
The increasing number of primary school students is also driving a steady demand for primary school teachers in some parts of the region.
