If you are studying to be a teacher, your professional experience placements are a critical component of your initial teacher education program and help ensure that you are well prepared for teaching in our schools.
The
Queensland Professional Experience Reporting Framework supports a consistent, streamlined and moderated approach to the assessment of professional experience placements completed in Queensland schools. It also acts as a guide for the teachers supervising and assessing you when you are completing your professional experience placements.
The framework aims to:
- provide a common language and understanding of the skills and knowledge that you must demonstrate during a final
professional experience placement
- support the consistent and moderated assessment of professional teaching experience undertaken in Queensland schools
- support supervising teachers and placement schools in their moderated assessment of your placement against the
Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (graduate level)
- foster assessment practices based on authentic assessment principles
- support preservice teachers to successfully transition to employment.
