Schools play a significant role in supporting student mental health and wellbeing, enhancing their engagement with learning. Bring your experience as a psychologist, guidance officer, teacher, social worker or youth worker into a Queensland state school or education regional office to help support students.
Guidance officers provide confidential counselling and advice on academic, personal, career and mental health and wellbeing matters. They also draw upon their experience as teachers to work with colleagues including health and wellbeing professionals to develop comprehensive student support and wellbeing programs that are responsive to the needs of the school community.
FlexiSpaces also provide safe and supportive environments, that offer flexibility, smaller class sizes and tailored teaching strategies that respond to students' unique needs. The innovative, purpose-built environments help students reconnect with learning, build confidence and discover a sense of belonging. There are over 100 FlexiSpaces established or being established in state schools across Queensland providing new opportunities for experienced teachers.
Chat with the team at this booth to explore these unique and rewarding opportunities in state schools and regions across Queensland.
