Professional development for teachers
We provide many opportunities for teachers to continue their professional development and build on their skills and knowledge throughout their career.
In line with Advancing education: An action plan for education in Queensland, there are opportunities for eligible teachers to participate in online professional development and upskilling courses. These have been developed in partnership with Higher Education Institutions to increase teacher confidence and capability to teach priority subjects.
Another way to advance your career is through secondments. Take the opportunity to
transfer to a rural or remote location to accelerate your career and access a range of career progression and development opportunities. There are a range of great
rural and remote incentives available too.
Professional learning hubs
Professional Learning Hubs are located in Rockhampton and Ipswich. These centres coordinate and deliver professional learning programs to support teachers within their local context.
