Our calendar of events includes university visits, career events and information sessions for aspiring and pr​e-​se​rvice teachers to learn more about teaching in Queensland state schools.

We host two career fairs each year - the Teach Rural Career Fair and Teach Queensland Career Fair - where you can talk face-to-face with our recruiters about your teaching career.​ Sign up to our monthly Teach Queensland news and jobs newsletter​ to receive the latest updates about our 2019 career fairs. ​

Teach Queensland Live Chat Series

Registrations for the Teach Queensland Live Chat Series are now open!

This online series of webinars will provide pre-​ser​vice, applicant and experienced teachers an opportunity to learn about the teacher application process and gain insights from school leaders about how to secure your first or next teaching role in Queensland state schools.

Our regional recruiters will also be online to answer any questions you may have. 

The two webinar topics are:

  • A step-by-step guide to submitting your teacher application – Thursday 18 October, 4.00-5.00pm AEST
  • School leader panel: insider’s guide to securing that teaching job – Thursday 1 November, 5.00-6.00pm AEST.

Our Education Career Ambassadors are a dedicated group of teachers who represent the state schooling sector at a range of career and employment events, including information sessions at Higher Education Institutions.

They are passionate about sharing their extensive knowledge about the teacher application process, high priority curriculum areas/locations, support for beginning teachers, and stories from their real life teaching experiences.
