Our calendar of events includes university visits, career events and information sessions for aspiring and pre-service teachers to learn more about teaching in Queensland state schools.

We host two career fairs each year - the Teach Rural Career Fair and Teach Queensland Career Fair - where you can talk face-to-face with our recruiters about your teaching career. Sign up to our monthly Teach Queensland news and jobs newsletter to receive the latest updates about our 2019 career fairs.

We are always adding new dates to our events calendar, so check back regularly for an event near you, and follow us on social media for the latest information.

Teach Queensland Live Chat Series

The 2018 Teach Queensland Live Chat Series was held in October and November.

This online series of webinars provided preservice, applicant and experienced teachers an opportunity to learn about the teacher application process, and gain insights and advice from school leaders about how to secure their first or next teaching role in Queensland state schools.

Our regional recruiters were also online to answer participants’ questions.

Almost 800 people registered for the Live Chats, with people tuning in from all eight of Australia’s states and territories, as well as from as far away as the United Kingdom.

If you missed the Live Chats, you can access the recordings:

They are passionate about sharing their extensive knowledge about the teacher application process, high priority curriculum areas/locations, support for beginning teachers, and stories from their real life teaching experiences.
