2019 Teach Rural Career Fair – Register now!

Registrations for the 2019 Teach Rural Career Fair are now open. Register now to secure your ticket for this exciting event.

The career fair is a free event for preservice, applicant and experienced teachers. It will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 8 May 2019 from 1 pm to 7 pm.

At the event, you will have the opportunity to:

  • talk face-to-face with school leaders and regional recruiters about teacher employment opportunities in regional, rural and remote Queensland state schools
  • gain insights from early career teachers and school leaders who are currently working in regional, rural and remote Queensland communities
  • learn about the incentives and benefits available to teachers working in regional, rural and remote Queensland communities
  • explore locations for your next professional experience placement.

Teach Queensland Live Chat Series

The 2018 Teach Queensland Live Chat Series was held in October and November.

This online series of webinars provided preservice, graduate and experienced teachers an opportunity to learn about the teacher application process, and gain insights and advice from school leaders about how to secure their first or next teaching role in Queensland state schools.

Our Education Career Ambassadors are a dedicated group of teachers who represent the state schooling sector at a range of career and employment events, including information sessions at Higher Education Institutions.

They are passionate about sharing their extensive knowledge about the teacher application process, high priority curriculum areas/locations, support for beginning teachers, and stories from their real life teaching experiences.
